Thorough Due Diligence

Our investment process is structured, rigorous and repeatable; it is premised upon thorough fundamental research and due diligence. At the direction of our Investment Committee, the Investments Group seeks to add value through strategy selection, manager selection, portfolio construction and ongoing monitoring. We focus actively on managing risk at each stage of the process.

A separate and important component of our investment process is operational due diligence. Our Operational Due Diligence Group, under the direction of our Operations Committee, conducts a detailed analysis of every manager with which our Investments Group is considering investing. The analysis includes: background investigations; review and negotiation of the legal, regulatory and tax ramifications of the investment; and an operational capabilities and internal controls assessment. In addition, we monitor each manager from an operational perspective on an ongoing basis.

Grosvenor will invest in a particular investment on behalf of its clients only upon approval of such investment by both the Investment and the Operations Committees.
